|Spooky activities during this year 2018 for Halloween! compiled by Only4uKids.com|
The holiday of Halloween is about "trick-or-treat", witches, Jack O'Lanterns and goblins. It will be celebrated on Friday, October 31st in this Year 2018.
Halloween has Celtic origins. In pre-Christian times, people believed that spirits from the underworld and ghosts of dead people could visit the world of the living on the night of October 31. To avoid harm from them, people started dressing up as ghosts and spirits, hoping that it would confuse the ghosts and spirits.
These days on Haloween, people decorate their homes and yards, at times with life-size replica graveyards or dungeons. They invite friends and neighbors to view their creations and to theme parties and fancy dress parties. Halloween food include candies decorated with symbols of Halloween, toffee apples (apples coated with sugar), roasted corn, popcorn and pumpkin pie or bread.
Most children love to play trick-or-treat. Dressed up as ghosts, witches, skeletons or other characters, they visit homes, ring doorbells and call out "trick-or-treat" when someone responds. 'Treat' is a gift like a candy. 'Trick' is doing something mischievious if there is no 'Treat'. Naturally, treats are common and tricks rare. In Canada, children also take part in "Trick-or-Treat for Unicef", Pumpkin-carving contests and pumpkin art tours.
Grabbing up the perfect
mood is the trick behind every successful party. And Halloween calls up

costumes in parties and trick or treat encounters. So we suggest that
